Welcome to the website of the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication where you have the ability to learn about the activities and operation of our Department!

The Department constitutes a modern academic structure with an interdisciplinary orientation in the fields of culture and Informatics aiming to promote new scientists and professionals capable to successfully be part of the modern and demanding academic and business environment.

The Department is composed of various categories of academic personnel with strong educational and research activities based on their strong participation in various national and international projects as well as through their strong academic collaborations with other national and international academic institutions and research centers.

Our 240 ECTS innovative undergraduate programme combines the strong knowledge capital and experiences of our academic and administrative personnel offering qualitative theoretical and laboratory training. Our students are familiarised with and learn the scientific way of thinking, the research and the business environment through the lectures, the internship program, the dissertation, the mobility programs (i.e. Erasmus+) but also through their engagement with the departments’ research laboratories. Our students’ familiarisation through all the aforementioned means constitute the cornerstone of our undergraduate programme leading to the academic and professional distinction of our graduates.

In parallel, the Department offers Master programmes designed to cover the high-level postgraduate training needs in the field of Cultural Informatics and Communication and Intelligent Information Systems. Both programmes follow an interdisciplinary student-based process as a result of the modern society’s requirements.

At the doctoral level, PhD candidates have the ability to conduct high-quality and modern research in various innovative research fields as members of one of our research laboratories.
